MUSCAT: Oman's total oil production rose 10.6 per cent in the first six months of 2026, while crude prices and exports also increased, according to preliminary data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Total production reached 198.01 million barrels by the end of June, compared with 179.05 million barrels during the same period last year.

Average daily production climbed to 1.094 million barrels per day from 989,200 barrels a year earlier.

The average price of Omani crude increased 9.4 per cent to US$80.90 a barrel from US$74.00 during the first half of 2025.

Exports rose 2.4 per cent to 155.22 million barrels, compared with 151.60 million barrels in the corresponding period last year.

The increase reflects stronger production levels alongside firmer international oil prices during the first half of the year, providing continued support for Oman's hydrocarbon revenues. — ONA
